This is a very popular workshop and a great opportunity for young children to gain a hands-on experience with a whole range of musical instruments.
At a workshop Rod teaches children basic playing skills on instruments that are within their physical capability such as Guitar, Keyboard, Violin, Glockenspiel, Drums and Percussion. The children play along with Rod on the instruments as he plays the guitar and sings popular and original children's songs. He may also introduce and explain other instruments to the children including Cello, Saxophone, Clarinet, Flute, Trumpet, Trombone, Electric Guitar and Bass Guitar, depending on whether his show has just preceded. At the Workshop children will also experience and become aware of different styles of music, musical expression, beat & rhythm and musical pitch .
Keryn assists Rod with the workshop preparation and organising the children at the various instruments. Both Rod and Keryn are Blue Card holders for working with children.
Rod has been presenting the 'Discovering Musical Instruments' workshop for many years and children are guaranteed to have a memorable and educational experience. Rod & Keryn supply all of the instruments for the workshop.
